






Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire England, archaeologists believe it was built back in 3000BC to 2000BC. It is one of UK's biggest attractions, and people believe it means the old English, there is a lot of markings on it and scientist don't know what it means
Some people believe that Stonehenge could have been built by using really strong rope and simple tools to lift or put the rocks into order. It was built and finished in four stages. It is believed that it could have been a cemetery or even a place for healing, because it has been reported skeletons have been found there.
Bluestone were the smallest stones used at Stonehenge. They may not look blue but when they are freshly broken or wet they have a bluish appearance. It is believed that the Bluestones were bought Salisbury Plain by the movement of glaciers

2550 BCE: They refashioned it and put a timber hedge on it
3000 BCE: The digging of the Albury holes that contained wooden posts
3100 BCE: The Earthen Henge was dug
3700 BCE: The construction of the causwayed enclosure known as Robin Hoods Ball
8500 BCE- 7650 BCE: Three large post holes show evidence on ritual activity.
